This morning we've been made aware of a problem with internet routing which is affecting a lot of UK Internet Service Providers. This means that people are having problems viewing websites - you may get a "server unavailable" error. This seems to be an intermittent problem, but isn't an issue with the actual web server. This may also affect email access as well.
On a similar note... we have also been made aware that a number of internet service providers have started blocking the default port for outgoing email. This could affect those customers with email boxes with their own outgoing mail servers (e.g. your outgoing mail server is something like smtp.yourdomain.co.uk). If you have suddenly started having problems sending emails AND you use your own outgoing email server, you can usually solve the problem by changing the outoing mailserver to 587. You'll need to refer to the help file for your email program on how to do this (usually under "advanced settings" or "outgoing server settings").
